PowerClean 2022, held in Orlando, Florida, at the Rosen Shingle Creek hotel, was a huge success. It brought PWNA contractors and CETA manufacturers and distributors together under one roof for the first time since the 2020 pandemic. You could sense the excitement and anticipation from the opening kickoff session. Many events were on the agenda for the attendees to capture their convention “nugget” or main takeaway from the five-day event. The convention featured many highlights, including 10 certification and 30 educational classes, four keynote speakers, multiple networking events, and a large tradeshow of those in the pressure washing industry.

PWNA celebrated their 30th anniversary with the founders, Robert Hinderliter and Joseph Walters, and their wives in attendance. The celebration recognized eight of the organization’s past presidents, who were also in attendance, with their newly received “Legacy” association rings. If you catch them at future conventions without their rings, then they owe you a cocktail.

PWNA VP Joe Corley and treasurer Clint Reynolds followed the anniversary party with our “fan favorite” live auction, where many exhibitors donated their equipment to get the bidding started and the crowd buzzing with activity.

Other events included the Madison Lipker Memorial Corn-hole Tournament, with proceeds benefitting the pediatric cancer foundation.

Live Auction—Skid Giveaway

A big shout out and “thank you” to our event sponsors, skid giveaway sponsors, volunteers, board of directors, and organization staff for their tireless and generous efforts to make the annual convention a success!

The convention concluded with the closing ceremony, featuring the highly anticipated skid raffle drawings generously donated by Nilfisk, Envirospec, and Wash Mart.

Make plans now to attend PowerClean 2023 from October 10–14, which will be held at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel & Spa in Glendale, AZ.

“Moving the Industry Forward” describes not only the PWNA but PowerClean as well. We cannot stay in the same place as the entire world evolves, and exterior cleaning is no different.PowerClean brings professionals together to learn and train on the latest techniques and best practices of our industry, and every contractor who is PWNA-certified is another contractor who has taken a step in the right direction to better themselves and their business by denying complacency within their own ranks. Reaching out to industry veterans at the PWNA to do so is what makes the PowerClean experience so amazing.

The 30th anniversary was very special in having some of the industry pioneers, such as Robert Hinderliter and Joe Walters, there together in the same room. The PWNA is the oldest and best pressure washing organization in my opinion because these types of individuals and their wealth of knowledge cannot be found anywhere else. Every board member of the PWNA operates a successful cleaning business back home, and they come together once a year to share their knowledge and experience with others, and that scenario just can’t be replicated. In-person learning is the best form of learning, and I am so glad that we all can get together now.
