Editor’s Note—January 2019

by Michael Hamline, Editor / Published January 2019

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the third annual Cleaner Times Sourcebook! The “Pressure Washing Manufacturers and Suppliers Listings” on page 6 provide quick and easy access to many of the companies that can assist individuals in making a successful living in the pressure washing industry. The “Pressure Washing Manufacturers and Suppliers Category Listings” help you locate pressure washers and accessories offered by various companies.

This issue contains the CETA President’s letter from Jim O’Connell, and it is clear that the Cleaning Equipment Trade Association (CETA) has beneficial plans for all its members. O’Connell remarks, “This next year will be eventful. We will continue to follow and further refine our five-year strategic plan. There will be more regional meetings. And, we will pursue initiatives like the successful development of the Prop 65 workbook. The potential to co-locate with PWNA again for PowerClean 2019 is exciting; and we are exploring numerous destinations for future PowerClean gatherings, aiming to make it convenient for all members to attend.”

In addition, there are some additional photos on page 45 from PowerClean 2018, which was held this past October. The photos provide a glimpse of what it’s like to be a part of this beneficial time of education and networking, but there is nothing like being there.

Also, the CETA board of directors added Angie Farley Thurman of Farley’s Inc, Jessica Gentry of Aqua Engineers, and Mike Tonies of Hydra-Flex. In addition, Gary Scott of Alkota Cleaning Systems stepped into the treasurer’s role. It’s a blessing for CETA and its members to have these men and women serve in the organization.

As we move into 2019, Cleaner Times desires for it to be a good and profitable year for the industry, and we look forward to hearing from you. Happy New Year!
