The Convention Issue

by Michael Hamline, Editor / Published October 2015

I told you last month that the trade shows were coming. When you read this month’s issue, you won’t be able to escape that it is The Convention Issue. There are four trade shows profiled in the following pages, three that are coming up (CETA, PWNA, and WJTA-IMCA) and one that has already been held (PWRA, see page 42). Cleaner Times makes a point to highlight these trade shows because they provide, at the very least, important venues to network, to stay abreast of industry developments, and to discover ways to improve your business, including building on the business strengths and identifying and improving on weaknesses
in your company.

The first of these shows is the 2015 CETA Annual Convention, which will be held October 19–23, in Las Vegas, NV. The bulk of the educational opportunities will come on Tuesday, October 20, and deal with items like the reduction of hard water equipment issues, burner service and repair, and pump repair. On October 22, there will be a class offered on search engine optimization (SEO). Since the CETA Convention is held in conjunction with ISSA/Interclean, there are a wide variety of keynote speakers such as Jay Leno and Kevin O’Leary to be heard from as well. For a more complete schedule of what will be happening as CETA celebrates its 25th anniversary, turn to the Show Guide on page 8.

Next up is the WJTA-IMCA show, which will be held in New Orleans, LA from November 2–4. The Waterjet Technology Basics & Beyond Short Course will be held all day on November 2, and there will also be an opportunity to hear from those who have put in much hard work and research as they present their research papers and case studies. The outside demos will be offered on the morning of November 3. Turn to page 58 for a complete schedule.

PWNA will meet in Charlotte, NC from November 12–14. There will be several certification courses offered as well as classes teaching the basics of power washing, how to build customer loyalty, importance of your company’s Internet presence, chemicals and pH, and becoming successful in business. For complete coverage of PWNA, visit www.pwna.org.

Cleaner Times is looking forward to seeing you at one or more of these conventions!
