Why attend PowerClean? The better question may be, why wouldn’t you attend? One of the most interesting observations to me as the membership chairman of CETA is the reasons for being a CETA member overlap with many of the reasons for attending: benchmarking (and Profit Planning Group will present a session in Orlando), which is included as part of membership; eligibility to compete for family and employee scholarships; a chance to interact with other dealers, manufacturers, and associate members; and a full schedule of educational events and classes seminars; as well as entertainment and social interaction (reception and more).
But the most important reason to attend is that you are contributing to an organization that does more to help our industry than any other. We have lobbied on behalf of dealers and manufacturers with great success and will continue to do so. It makes a difference; and without CETA pushing back and looking out for, us things would be more difficult for the industry in terms of regulations and other areas. We need you, and we need you to be involved.

Why not attend? The CETA PowerClean event has been an added value to Williams Cleaning Systems. Each year we get to view and discuss with manufacturers all about their products firsthand. Last year we sent our sales reps to PowerClean, and it was a huge success for Wiliams Cleaning. The reps were able to discuss with manufacturers, distributors, and end users many aspects of their products and their applications, which gave them more knowledge and perspective than a product sheet could. PowerClean has helped grow Williams Cleaning Systems, offering access to additional parts manufacturers that I firmly believe wouldn’t have happened without PowerClean. Our largest takeaway is the business partnerships we have gained from PowerClean. If we ever need to discuss our industry or a product, we have met someone at PowerClean that we can pick up the phone and call. Williams Cleaning systems can’t thank CETA enough for putting on a show from which each year we walk away with a win for business.

Speaking for myself and on behalf of my family members who have covered CETA and PowerClean for the past 36 years, PowerClean is an event we look forward to attending each year. To my knowledge, a member of our family has attended every PowerClean event since 1990. If there is such a thing as family within an industry, CETA is certainly it.
In 2023 an EF3 tornado with winds up to 165 miles per hour struck a major part of Little Rock near our office and continued for more than 40 miles. Within an hour, Roy Chappell, owner of Chappell Supply and a long-time CETA member, contacted us to make sure we were safe. Others within CETA reached out as well, reminding us that this industry is much more than a business.
To us, CETA is family, and the annual PowerClean event feels a lot like a family reunion—without all the drama.
